Delightful Discoveries - A Sailor Went to Sea, Sea, Sea 12.20.10

A sailor went to sea, sea, sea
To see what he could see, see, see.
But all that he could see, see, see
Was the bottom of the deep blue sea, sea, sea!
~Unknown

That sailor may not have seen anything but the bottom of the sea, but I sure found some lovely sea and shore themed items! I'm not sure why I love nautical themes and marine life, but I find the sea mysterious and breathtaking... and amazing in its flora and fauna as well. So much magic to be found along our shorelines - definitely a treasure we've been blessed with, a priceless gift of inspiration from Mother Earth and a wealth of wonder from the universe's creative source! Please enjoy these treasures from and inspired by sea and shore!

Ahhhh... I feel more relaxed and revitalized already! There are thousands of sea and marine and nautical themed items on Etsy, so if you love those themes or know someone who does, it's the perfect place to shop for something unique and beautifully handcrafted!

In my next feature, I'll be sharing a color called bay leaf green. It's kind of sage-y with some grey undertones and I think it looks elegant and earthy and simply gorgeous! Be sure to watch for the next post soon!

Hope you're having a wonderful Monday :)

the sea does indeed give us so much; food, medicine and these beauties.

The sea produces such an array of inspiration from sea glass to sea shells and of course all the fish in the sea. Thank you for including our Andersen Studio Dance of the Double Dolphins.

These are all lovely pieces and I am honored to be included amongst them. The Tidal Pool necklace is especially beautiful and has a most striking photo against the glass bottle. Thanks for sharing this with us.

What a beautiful collection of seaside treasures. I can hear the waves crashing on the beach and feel the gentle sea breezes. However, I do live in Florida :) Thank you for including one of my creations.
