Find True Love Here...

I'm starting my birthday celebration early this year - and I'd like to share my birthday week happiness by giving away this lovely little lariat necklace. Lariats are a style that are continuing to gain in popularity once again, so I've decided they will be my newest design addition and you can expect to see at least a few more of these showing up in my shop, Mysticwynd over the next few weeks!

This particular necklace features a fine silver plated, rhinestone encrusted heart on one end of the shimmery 22" sterling silver chain, while the other end is finished with a gorgeous sterling silver twisted loop. A sweet little genuine faceted garnet round dangles inside the loop while a romantic baroque cultured pearl pillow sways gently below. This particular lariat can be worn several ways with the dangle looped through the heart, simply twist one chain around the other, or knot the chains one over the other - they all look lovely and make this necklace versatile and easy to dress up or down with multiple fashions. This design will retail for $32 and will be available in limited quantities, but you may be the proud owner of this debut piece if you enter to win this giveaway before the drawing is held next Monday, the 26th!

Before I tell you what criteria I've selected for your chances to win, since I do an interview with all of my giveaway sponsors, I asked my husband to randomly select 6 questions from my interview question list and that's exactly what he did - with a random selection tool he uses for just such occasions. So before I give you the criteria for entering this giveaway, I'm going to answer his questions!

What's your birthstone? Do you wish you had a different one? Given the choice between the rose zircon and the opal, I personally love opals - especially fiery black opals - which aren't really black at all, but has a dark base color which just brings out all of the rest of the colors. My second favorite birthstone is September's rich blue sapphire, so I guess if I had to have a different one, that would be it!

If you were president of the US for a day, what's the first thing you would change? Wow... really tough question, especially with everything going on right now. I think one thing I would definitely consider would be to increase funding for education - both to improve the quality of education itself and also to develop programs to mentor at-risk and disadvantaged children. I'm a believer that our futures lie in some degree to the decision making abilities of future generations, so anything that can be done to give them advantages now will be to everyone's advantage in years to come.

Do you think it would be easier to be a city girl living in the country or a country girl living in the city? For me personally, it would be easier to be a city girl living in the country. I grew up in Chicago, and I think while my family was growing up, I liked being close to the services a city has to offer, but part of me is a country girl at heart for some reason. I've spent some time in the country and I loved it. I think it would be hard for someone who isn't used to the hectic pace of city life to adjust to it.

What's the best Halloween costume you've ever dressed up in? Another tough question because I've dressed up in some really great Halloween costumes. I think it would be toss up between the year I went to work as the Energizer bunny, or the year I went as the grim reaper - it took some people hours to figure out who I was under all that makeup!

If you saw a UFO, would you tell anyone? Definitely. First I would tell my husband - in fact he'd know within moments. I would probably grab our video camera and try to film it, but even if I couldn't I'd report it to the appropriate authorities. (Yes, I do believe!)

If you entered a contest and won an all expense paid 2 week vacation to the dream spot of your choice - where would your travel agent be booking your accomodations? 2 weeks hmm... I think I would want to take a whirlwind tour of Europe... I'd love to explore Stonehenge, wander thru the Black Forest, admire the reflection of the Swiss Alps in a clear alpine lake, stroll down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, stay at a bed and breakfast in Tuscany, and see the Acropolis in Greece... for starters...lol...

I'm keeping the entry criteria relatively simple. Visit my shop, Mysticwynd, and come back here and post your favorite OR simply describe a jewelry design that you'd love to see there! (Colors, gemstones, metal color, size, etc...)

Receive one additional entry for following me here on my blog.

Receive one additional entry for following me on twitter at http://twitter.com/mysticwynd

Receive one additional entry for being a fan on facebook at http://facebook.com/mysticwynd

Entries must contain contact information (if you're entering multiple times, just add it to your first entry). Also, entries must be received by noon MST, on Monday, October 26th. International winners (where applicable and allowed) are responsible for any taxes, duties or other fees incurred as a result of winning.

Thanks for entering!
