Sunday Afternoon Reflections - What If...Ideas Worth Spreading

i don't know how many of you have heard of TED Talks but we love watching these great video monologues. Devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading", these videos cover a gamut of interesting and informational topics on a variety of themes ranging from the arts to ecology to genomics. The lecturers are either experts in their fields or simply people who have experienced something that has changed their life and want to share it with the world.

So, my "what if" questions for today is...

"What if you were asked to give a TED Talk on any subject - what would your lecture be about?"

As for me, I think I would want to talk about the importance of imagination and how to encourage others to develop their imaginative skills to open up new worlds of possibility. I think imagination is definitely underused and in some cases, cast off as something that belongs to the world of children and make believe...but without imagination, there would be no new technology, no new ways of doing things, and definitely no Etsy! Imagine where we would be if the whole world used their imagination in positive ways to produce solutions to everyday problems. It could be amazing!
