While I haven't confirmed it, I'm going to guess that the D in Chicky D's stands for Danielle, the owner of this almost brand spankin' new accessory and gift shop with the adorable little (cheep, cheep, peep, peep) *chicky* on the banner! If you've followed my blog for awhile, you're familiar with Danielle from her other Etsy shop, Danizabeth - but today I'm going to share some of my favorites from her rapidly growing stock of goodies from Chicky D's.
Danielle has done like so many of us crafty souls has done - and that's getting addicted to creating in a new craft that was actually not in our original plan, and in this case, Danielle shows quite the talent for using ribbon and various embellishments to create some of the most adorable hair bows, caps, bags, and other sundry goodies for your pleasure!
Of course one of the first things that caught my eye is this simply adorable Chicago Cubs inspired hair bow. America's favorite pastime is definitely not just for boys, and your little lady will be the belle of the ballpark with this summery bow adorning that pony tail beneath her baseball cap!
Your little dancing diva will appreciate being able to tuck her dance slippers or tap shoes into one of Danielle's darling canvas totes. Embellished with buttons, fabric yo-yos, and a removable complementary bow, these totes are the perfect size for so many summertime uses from toting supplies to and from dance class, books to and from the library, and even tucking an extra pair of clothes for that visit to Grandma's (just in case she lets her favorite granddaughter spend the night!) My choice from this collection features a rainbow of polka dots! Isn't it adorable?
Danielle has the big girls covered too - with a great selection of hair accessories and hats like this great Military cap in an adult size. Adorned with pink, teal, purple and green patterned yo-yos and buttons, this cap will be ideal for protecting your head from those summer sun UV rays, while adding a bit of panache to your casual attire!
In addition to her fashion accessories, Danielle also offers a small complement of art pieces. A graphic designer by training and trade, she dabbles in collage, and acrylic painting - and of course I selected her Butterfly painting to share here as an example of her work. Who doesn't love butterflies, honestly? (Even if you don't, pretend you do, just for me, ok?) This would make such a great accent piece for a bathroom or hallway, or even your studio!
