There's a tradition in my family that when someone comes to visit and will be staying with you as a guest, we make sure to leave them a small token that says "welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay!" It's often a treat of homemade cookies or candy - you know, something for someone to munch on when they get that late night craving and aren't at home or might feel funny about raiding the kitchen cabinets. Any one of the items above would be perfect as just such a gift, or you can simply buy several and present them in a gift basket to your new neighbor, or a business associate, or anyone else you want to say hello, welcome, or thank you to!

Tomorrow, I'll be setting up some really amazing medium slate blue items. This is one of my favorite colors for adding a touch of panache to almost any setting or fashion look - so be prepared for lots of beautiful blues!

Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start! I'll see you soon!

I just read another blog--NICO--about eating healthy! Then I read yours. It is tempting!

It's all perspective Linda! LOL - There's fruit (and we know how good fruit is for you) and nuts (great for protein and all of these are heart healthy too!) Chocolate stimulates serotonin production to help you be happy, carbs can give you energy and increase brain activity, and since these treats are homemade, you're not being exposed to all of those preservatives and other chemicals that you get in mass produced foods! What a great way to indulge!

Moderation is the key to enjoying these luscious goodies, but then, I'm one of those people who can eat just one potato chip!

I think I'll read NICO's blog too though - just for that sense of balance!
