Ugly Glass - A BESTeam Feature 08.04.10

I have a niece whose name is Marci, but when she was a little girl, her nickname was Moose. Which was ironic because she was an itty bitty thing (and still is, even though she's got two little girls of her own now!) I wanted to mention that because ironic nicknames are pretty commonplace in our culture - like calling a big hulking guy "Tiny", or a slow moving athlete "Speedy". The Alexanders, Jen and Skip, the creative husband and wife team behind AlexandersDesigns and ClassicallySimple, use this particular literary form pretty extensively since they offer a line of "Ugly Glass" that is anything but!

Jen does beading, Skip does metalworking, and they both do glassworking... and it all comes together for some awesome and totally non-ugly pieces! Here are a few of my favorites!
