Delightful Discoveries - Trendsetting Turquoise 08.13.10

Each year, Pantone, the company whose innovative color matching system revolutionized the world of digital color, selects one color of the many thousands of colors that exist in their databases as the color of the year. For 2010, this color was turquoise, which happens to be my featured color of the day. The color turquoise, just like the gemstone it was named after, comes in a variety of hues and tones from greenish blue to almost a sky blue, with just the slightest green undertones. This unique combination of green and blue are what define this tantalizing color. I've tried to stay true to my original color selection which was a medium blue green (blue being more dominant than green), but in the instances I selected something that leaned more towards the green side, it's simply because that item had a special appeal to me. That being said, let's take a look at some trendsetting turquoise!

Lovely blog ! Really like all the turquoise items, it's one of my favorite colors. Tried to leave a comment earlier but blogspot was not cooperating with me, so waited and came back...just like I promised I would on your etsy forums thread. I'm now a new follower of yours. :)
