Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like I was spinning my wheels all day. I think part of the reason was that I had to start off my day with several errands that just had to get done - like buying presents for my grandson's first birthday and making sure that I had all of the supplies to bake his Toy Story themed birthday cake(s). (As is the family tradition, he'll have his own little cake to demolish.) Considering the heat here (it was still 103 at 10:30 last night after hitting 113 yesterday afternoon), I think I was more worn out by the heat than the actual physical activity! But I digress... I was just happy to be home and in air conditioned comfort and spent a good part of the rest of the day working on MysticWynd business - which includes going thru all of the submissions for my blog. Surprisingly, there really weren't a lot of things submitted for today's feature. I'd yell at you for not spreading the word, but I know you all are...aren't you?
Luckily, I was very pleased with the submissions and nominations I did receive, so without any further procrastination on my part - let me share the goodies I selected for today.
You can never have too many purses, right ladies? I absolutely love This Meri Fringe Hobo Bag from UNAshop on Etsy. I love everything about this one - the style, the shoulder strap, the fringe, the color...definitely perfect for those days when you're feeling the need for perhaps just a bit of boho chic. The added security of a zipper closure as well as the zippered side pocket make this perfect for those shopping trips or outings to your favorite tourist attraction.
TheCheekyGirl is a relatively new shop on Etsy, and Laura Foster (the face behind the shop) is a stay-at-home mom of a five year old daughter who is already showing signs of sharing her mother's love of yarn. Of course, how could you not love yarn when it's blended together skillfully in beautiful color combinations like Laura's Brown-Beige-Blue Fuzzy Hat!
Since I spend quite a bit of time around toddlers lately (with 6 grandkids aged 5 and under, how could I not?!?) I'm always on the lookout for kids' fashions that wear well... and by wear well, I mean that are comfortable for both the child to wear and the parent to have to deal with. Toddlers are so active that they need clothes that allow their bodies to move easily and comfortably. Just the kind of clothes you'll find at joeyandaleethea, in fact! Their Ankle Biters lounge pants are just the ticket for active toddlers, especially those at the potty training stage, since they have a comfy elastic waist and wide room-to-move-in legs! The matching shirt is also available separately!
Tomorrow's feature color is mustard yellow. Here's a small preview of the color - a larger sample of the color can be found by clicking on the "Be Featured" link in the right sidebar of this blog! Be sure to click here to e-mail me the link to your item or an item you'd like to nominate from another shop and I'll check it out. You don't have to wait for me to ask for nominated items for any of the upcoming colors either - send them over whenever you like up to the evening before the day they're being featured!
My "Mall" continues to gain more occupants as well, and they'd love to see you wander over to take a look there too! I'm off to start my cake-baking and present wrapping - hope your day is a productive one as well!
