PB & J

Nope, not peanut butter and jelly... I'm writing about Pam Baker & Jewelry (and some other talents of hers as well!) Pam is the creative energy behind Magdalene Jewelry and Magdalene Knits on Etsy, as well as being the EtsyBloggers' team Blogger of the Month for April 2010.

In addition to running her two businesses, Pam has been donating some of her time and energy to create some lovely hats that she is donating to "Crochet for Cancer", an offspring of the well known cancer program, “Relay for Life”. She also finds time to devote to two blogs - MagdaleneJewels' Blogs and Magdalene Jewels as well as being a contributing writer on the Etsybloggers Team blog and a member of a number of teams on Etsy. In addition to her involvement with these groups, Pam is also the costume designer and make-up artist for a local theater group - and has even done some acting in some of their plays. Busy and very talented lady!

I took some time to pick out a couple of my favorites from each of Pam's shops to share with you today. At MagdaleneJewelry, you will find an exciting collection of designs incorporating one of Pam's favorite jewelry designing materials - Swarovski Crystallized elements. I had a hard time picking just two favorites, but I finally narrowed it down to these designs! The one on the left, her Black hearts with Filigree. Hemitite Swarovski Crystal Necklace - is an elegant and romantic example of her creativity, while the one on the right, her - Murano Floral Glass and Swarovski Opal Earrings - captures a more whimsical and impressionistic spirit.

I headed over to MagdaleneKnits and was hard put deciding whether to select a couple of items from her beautiful adult accesories or her darling infant clothes. With grandbabies playing such a strong part in my life right now, you can guess which finally won out! I loved this preppy looking Crocheted Baby Boy Grey Sweater Set just as much as this darling Crocheted Baby Rose/Ivory Infant Bonnet and Scarf Set, but then I think I loved all of the sweet baby items in the shop almost equally well!

Take a few moments and check out Pam's shops and blogs - I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience!

Mystic - thank you for such a nice blog about my shops and mentioning the "Relay for Life" project - anyone can be involved (just convo)! also thanks for featuring a few of my favorites also. I made the same sweater in a mint green and white for my grandson (see it on Flickr) and also for mentioning my creative side - life in the theater!
