Girly Things Giveaway

Sorry for posting this so late - I spent the morning at a couple of dr's appointments (and undergoing some more lovely tests - arrggghhhh) and part of the afternoon trying to get together some information for a decision I'll have to make as a result and the day just really got away from me! Wish me luck!

Now it's your turn to see how lucky you are! You could be the lucky person to win something like these adorable PUPPY PIGGY TAIL BOWS or even this BOUTIQUE TURKEY HAIR BOW! Here's the deal for this week's giveaway sponsored by Barbara from jjkgirlythings on Etsy. In Barbara's own words - Hair accessories are such a personal thing. Each has their own idea of what they like or need. I would like to offer choice of one item listing from my shop of winner's choice as my give away. No price limit!

Tell us a little bit about how you decided on your shop name - jjkgirlythings. My shop name is for my children Julia, Jennifer, and Kristen. They, together with their daughters, are my inspiration for my products.

Your shop bio mentions that you're "retired". I always chuckle when I see that anywhere in the information about an online shop. I'm quasi-"retired" myself and I find myself working as hard now, if not harder, than I did when I wasn't "retired". So seriously, are you still going to insist that you're retired, or is this just a change of pace? I am retired from one job and am now working at my new job, managing my etsy shop, JJ&K'sgirlythings.

Your shop is doing very well considering you're a relative newcomer to Etsy - to what do you feel you owe your success (besides the fact that your items are just adorable!) I am blessed to be doing well in my shop because of guidence from the Lord. Each day I just talk to him as I work and receive his guidance. I work the forums and try to list something everyday to keep my name out there. Word of mouth helps. My children and I advertise on facebook or twitter. I tried a couple of ideas from Etsykids' Modern Handmade Child's newest issue. There are some great ideas in there. Photos of my products can be found on this blog all the time - . She is a fantastic person. One of the first people I made friends with on etsy.

Name one thing that not many people know about you. Stepping out side of my comfortable little "box" is terrifying for me and that might be something that others don't see.

Hot fudge sundae or deep dish apple pie? I am a traditional deep dish apple pie sort of girl.

To receive an entry to win this generous prize offer from Barbara at jjkgirlythings, simply visit her shop, find a favorite item and come back here and tell us about it with a link to the item!

Pretty simple, hmm? The winner will be drawn at noon MST on Monday, November 16, 2009!
Good luck everyone!

I think this is a cute beanie hat. Hubby is a Seabee in the Navy and this is a cute way to show support.

Super cute shop! Well I love those puppy dog clips and this Christmas tree one too:

However, I would probably end up getting those princess clips for a sweet little girl I know.

I'll check back to see who won but if I am lucky enough to win and you need to contact me, you can contact me through my Etsy shop:
