Oops, I Did it Again...

...almost forgot to post my Etsybloggers team feature for the month, that is! October's blogger of the month is Melissa from madebymelissa on Etsy! Melissa's shop convinces me even more that I shouldn't be amazed to find jewelry designers who love to crochet... or is it crocheters that love to design jewelry? It seems like the two arts are often hand in hand in a crafter's repertoire of skills. Perhaps it's a common thread (pun intended) of links and loops that come together to form such beautiful and useful items! Melissa's shop definitely lends creedence to that theory!

Beautiful and functional crocheted items including everything from baby blankets to scarves to potholders to toys abound at madebymelissa... One of my favorites is this Feeling Peachy Lacy Baby Blanket. With 6 grandkids arriving in a short span of 5 years in our family, I think I'm always on the lookout for beautiful and useful baby items and this piece is both!

I'm also always on the lookout for baby safe toys, and with the third of my grandsons set to arrive in February after my second one was born in July, I think toys for little boys will be on my mind - especially baby safe ones. What says little boy more than something like this cute little Gary the Green Garden Snake. I can just imagine my older grandkids playing with these baby and toddler safe toys, and no worries over small parts breaking away or popping off!

If you're looking for fun holiday themed jewelry, madebymelissa might be a great place to start your shopping trip! With the winter season and Christmas not too far away, items like this adorable Frosty the Snowman Glass Beaded Bracelet could be the perfect playful addition to your jewelry collection!

While you're at it, check out Melissa's blog - Made by Melissa - for a bunch of handmade features, interesting articles, and fun stories about life with a toddler!
