When Pantone released their Spring 2012 color palette for fashions a few weeks ago, the buzz began about what the color of the year might be. Why does it matter to me or anyone else who designs fashions or accessories? Simply so we can start developing products that will fit the future trends. The announcement of the 2012 color of year will probably come out sometime in December, but I since I wish I already knew what it was, I thought it would be interesting to post examples of the spring color palette to see what your thoughts were. Of course, I'm totally biased toward the solar yellow :) I just adore it's spirit and it feels so incredible to wear. But I would also be drawn to the starfish color. It's a great neutral with such richness to it. Thank you so much for allowing me to represent 'solar power'.

I'm really torn this time around. While I love the driftwood as a classically great neutral for men and women alike, I'm kinda liking the sodalite blue!

Oh, how beautiful! Thanks for featuring me with the Cockatoo - of course, a blue or green would be great since I absolutely adore the colors of the ocean. But the driftwood is a very beautiful color too! Guess you could say I am drawn to the beach...
I checked Pantone's colors for Spring 2012 recently. I think some of the names are quite compelling! Of course, I have no idea what the color of the year will be. I suspect it may be Tangerine Tango, since orange is a fairly recent new popular favorite.
Some of the colors I love; others not so much. My favorites are the blues and green.
