Wishful Wednesday - 'Tis the Season

You may have noticed that I've completed my Holiday Season transformation both on my blog and in my shop. Yep, it's that time of year in the retail universe! I don't think the last candle was blown out in the Halloween Jack-o-lantern before I saw local retailers putting out the Christmas goods and even some neighbors starting to get out their holiday decor.

Every year,  it seems the same... we think we have SO much time before the big day arrives, but it always seems to sneak up on us once that turkey dinner has us passed out in front of the TV. So I'm doing my part to share some great holiday decor ideas that you might want to delight in before they're gone and you're left with a Charlie Brown Christmas tree (not that's there's anything wrong with them, in fact I have a genuine one myself - but it goes along with the 30+ boxes of Christmas decor I also have!)

Anyway, 'tis the season... and here are some wonderful shops who offer some lovely items to make your home just a little more Christmas-ier this year.  Enjoy!

Despite all the commercialization, Christmas is truly a religious commemoration of a very special birth... and you can share in the more spiritual side of the day with this adorable Nativity Set from Cleirigh. While this listing is for the entire ensemble scene, if you'd prefer to purchase the Holy Family, Three Wise Men, Christmas Angel, or Shepherd Boy and His Sheep individually, you'll be happy to know that they are sold separately as well!

Christmas in the Desert Southwest holds its own special charm. While we rarely have snow, one thing we do have is a lot of Christmas cheer, and local craftspeople are never without adorable ideas to bring together Desert themes with Christmas splendor.  My friend Marie, from TheRustedWren on Etsy, recently became an Arizonan (although she lives where they have a little more snow than we get down here in our valley!) and she's already embraced the culture this holiday season with her Southwest Motif Mini-Wall Hanging that would also make an adorable tree ornament!  Marie is scheduled to have her shop's grand opening very shortly, but I'm sure she won't mind if you stop by to see what she has listed so far. Don't forget to favorite her shop and check back as more things become available too!

If you're looking for heirloom quality Christmas stockings made from the finest fabrics, in themes that you won't find in any typical department store, look no further than silverliningxmas.  This shop is one of my under-discovered finds, but with the Christmas season looming, and a shop full of stockings in themes from refined to fun n'funky, as well as a collection of great holiday recipes, I think silverliningxmas won't be under-discovered for long! Stop by and say hi to Deanna and see what catches your eye.  My personal favorite is her "Sadie the Lady" Elegant Christmas Stocking shown below!

Fluff Stuff and Puff may sound like what you do when you're making your bed in the morning, but to Janet of fluffstuffandpuff, it's how she's creates some adorable decor items out of material scraps and factory samples. I like her adorable Christmas tree ornaments, which are available in other color combinations in addition to the white and green version shown below!

One of the Christmas decorations I collect is snowmen, so of course I had to share one of my new favorite shops here. CharlotteStyle offers some of the cutest plushy decor pieces I've seen in awhile, and this adorable Snowman Doll is simply precious!  If you're a cat lover, be sure to check out her selection of holiday cats too! And of course, her other dolls and critters are enchanting - and sure to make the most discerning little boy or girl smile!

That's it for today's Wishful Wednesday - but you can bet it won't be the last of the holiday decor posts, so be sure to keep stopping by for your introduction to all of the wonderful shops that I'll be featuring in the future.

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Love your blog. Great idea for sharing our desert holiday cheer. I think alot of people can't imagine the holidays without White Chistmas and a crackling fire. Hmmm why do they all run down here after it's all over. Our crackling fire's are usually outside by the firepit with just a slight nip in the air.

Don't get me wrong I've done both versions, being a native Chicagoan.

Thank you for featuring my little trees.

Best to you,

Jan

love the southwest wall hanging! The thing I hate about this time of year is the salespeople pushing at me. I wish we could still celebrate Thanksgiving in peace... {:-D
