You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello

This is not your typical BESTeam feature. Cerlandia (ChasingTheNuns on Etsy) is my featured shop this week, but Sarah, the clever craftswoman who has filled this little piece of Etsy real estate with lovely items like those I'm sharing today, is in the process of moving to a new selling venue. While I'm always supportive of my Etsian teammates, if you've followed me for any amount of time on this blog, you know that my primary purpose when it comes to promoting others is to promote shops which offer unique and well made handmade or quality vintage goods and supplies - no matter what their selling venue!. So, while Sarah is saying good-bye to Etsy (and unfortunately, the BESTeam ), I'm saying hello to her at the new Cerlandia on Zibbet!  And... I'm inviting all of you to visit her new shop where you'll continue to find her unique and refreshingly charming work.

In case you don't know, Cerlandia means "land of Sarah" - and you will find a little bit of Sarah's imaginative heart and soul in every piece she designs, truly making her selling venue her land - and filled with fun items like this whimsical Spongebob Squarepants tote created by repurposing a tee shirt print! Adorable as a small beach or pool tote, and perfect for those fun excursions around town, this will make a great addition to your functional summer accessory collection!

Bold bright colors almost always make a statement, and in this stunning hand crocheted lotus cuff bracelet, the luscious red will add a bit of vivacious color to any wardrobe, but would be decidedly perfect with your latest Asian themed outfit or as a beautiful contrast to your summer whites or nautical navy blues! Made of hand-washable cotton thread, this design is lightweight and easy to care for.

In addition to personal items like jewelry and accessories, Sarah collaborates with a friend to produce some great silk-screened home decor items like these stunning napkins featuring a stylish bird in a tree design against a dark background. I think these would lend a beautiful touch to a table decorated with plain white stoneware place settings and a grapevine twig centerpiece for a contemporary or minimalist effect.

This stay-at-home-mom enjoys creating custom designs and working with her customers to bring their ideas to fruition through her sewing, knitting, and crocheting skills - so if you have an idea that's been mulling around in your head, and you're looking for someone to work with you to bring it to life, take a moment to talk to Sarah... and even if you're looking for some fun ready-made items, Cerlandia is a great place to start!
