Delightful Discoveries - I'm Stuffed!!!! 08.24.10

That's what any one of today's featured guests could be saying, since they're all stuffed plushies and woolies, and just plain adorable! The variety of handmade stuffed critters and creatures available only attests to the imagination and creativity that is so plain to see in the handmade marketplace.

There are critters and creatures that you could say have been around a while....

Hand Knitted Yellow Dinosaur from Valmade (Artfire)
Colin the Caveman from FeltLikeStitchin
Baby Steggie Dinosaur stuffed toy from madewithlovebylaura**

And some with a wild side...

Security Blanket Lovey Silky Brown Monkey from BBsForBabies
Jungle Babies Stuffed Animal - Elephant Small Size from quiltfairykaren
Penny the Pink Elephant from madebymelissa

And others you just want to hug...

Stuffed Animal Sheep, hand knitted sheepie friend from woolies
Becky the Beautiful Vintage Puppy from Revivalvintagedesign
woolbuddy cow from woolbuddy

And some are just plain out of this world!

Melinda, Adopt an Alien, OOAK Creature Toy with Birth Certificate from AdoptanAlien
Handmade Sock Monster with Tie and Glasses from stufd**
Green and Pink Crochet Alien Buddy from ourhometoyours

I think I'll be putting a couple of things on my "possibilities" list for the grandkids for Christmas, and maybe even a creature or two on my wish list too! How about you?

Tomorrow, stop by for a look at some verdigris inspired items and a little bit about the history and nature of the color and patina that we call verdigris. Interesting stuff! If you have any items that fit the theme, or any future theme for that matter, send them to me by clicking here!

Have a terrific Tuesday and look for me here tomorrow!

** (this is my new designation for an undiscovered/underdiscovered shop of the day!)
