(Color) Wheel of Fortune 07.14.10

Such a bright and energizing color, isn't it? Whether you want to call it fuchsia or red violet, or purple-pink, this is definitely a great color if you're looking to show off the livelier side of your personality!

I had a lot of great items nominated for this post, and I guess I was in the mood for fun today because I picked items that definitely are fun and uplifting to the spirit. (Or maybe it's because I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night and I was trying to stay energized and upbeat!)

How many of you owned Barbie Dolls when you were little? Raise your hands... higher, so I can see them! I know I did, and I know my daughter did, and my granddaughters do as well. Well, you may feel a bit too old to play with Barbies, but how about wearing a pair of cute and kitschy Hot Pink Barbie Shoe Earrings from Oblue? I think they'd be a great conversation starter for that day of shopping with the girls!

As you may have guessed, you can take a girl out of the Midwest and stick her in a desert, but she'll never lose her taste for cold weather clothes. I love sweaters and scarves and all of those great knitted and crocheted accessories that I grew up with, so having kept in mind that Lois from FoxyGKnits had tweeted that she'd like to participate in my color feature, I went browsing through her shop and found this Hand Knit Ladies Fashion Sassy Wrap Scarf called Purple Passion in a fun and vibrant fuchsia and purple color medley! Definitely sassy - and something you'd find me wearing in colder climes!

And since I'm featuring fun-to-wear statement type pieces, let's wrap this one up with this bold and beautiful Fabric Flower Statement Necklace - My Heart Is Yours - from YouAreMySunshine! Wow, wow, wow... Isn't it amazing?

Tomorrow's feature color is a beautiful shade of deep periwinkle blue - and can be found by clicking on the "Be Featured" link in the right sidebar of this blog! Be sure to click here to e-mail me the link to your item or an item you'd like to nominate from another shop and I'll check it out. I'll be on the lookout for all of your wonderful suggestions. In the meantime - Happy Humpday!

Before I forget (and I almost did!) I'm offering free 3 month advertising packages on my "Mall" page as well as special introductory pricing on sidebar ads for anyone who's interested. Simply "Contact Me" using the link in the menu and be sure to put "advertising" in the subject!

Thanks again!

This is splendid!
What a great color to blog about.
I've bought from OBlue on etsy and thoroughly recommend her. Apart from the item I bought being fun, funky and well made, she makes all her own postage packaging which intrigued me.
Fascinating and interesting scarf and necklace. So textural.
