Becky specializes in designing fabric and felt crafted items and she does her part to help in the recycle/renew/repurpose movement by fashioning many of her items, like the beautiful grey, fern adorned tote bag that you see here out of felted sweaters.
Having two daughters must easily lend itself to inspiration for Becky, and that inspiration leads to lovely accessories like these sweet headbands and ponies.
I miss living in an area that has trees and the four seasons, so visiting shops like Becky's make me a tad homesick for the midwest and the rich forests and prairies filled with plants and wildflowers and "critters" that would never survive the heat of the southwest desert! Sometimes when I need a mental break from the heat that is an Arizona summer, I imagine myself tucked away in a little mountain cabin decorated with country charm and lovely little felted decorations like this beautiful oak leaf bowl. And of course, the fireplace mantle would look lovely adorned with this whimsical leaf garland!
Becky has been a member of Etsybloggers for a little over a year now, and her blog,
miesmama - a creative journal of a mother's passion for things handmade is rich with stories about family and fun, lots of wonderful promotions, recipes, and a world of other tidbits of information...so take a moment and stop by! And be sure to visit Becky at miesmama for more beautiful felted and fabric items like the ones you've seen here today!
